More news to come at the Microsoft press event later this month.
It seems Microsoft is preparing to release a preview version of Windows 10 for smartphones, with its launch of an app called Phone Insider over the weekend.
Phone Insider is part of the Windows Insider program, which gives select individuals access to preview builds of Windows 10 throughout its development. The app describes itself as a way for registered Windows Insiders to receive operating system updates on their phone, before official releases.
For now, according to The Verge,
only Microsoft employees can use the app, but soon anyone will be able
to sign up for the program and start testing out Windows 10 on their
Windows Phones.
Features to be tested on Windows Phone include users interface tweaks,
light and dark themes, and other changes meant to align the Windows 10
operating system with its tablet, desktop, and Xbox One variants.
