Owners of the Assassin's Creed Unity DLC season pass can now download their choice of a selected free Ubisoft game.
Everyone who purchased either the season pass or the Assassin's Creed
Unity Gold Edition is eligible for the promotion. In order for Ubisoft's
system to recognize your eligibility, however, you must first activate
the DLC. If you activated previous to November 25, you can grab your
free game immediately, but if you're just now activating the game,
Ubisoft says it could take up to 10 days for their system to recognize
your eligibility.
The free Ubisoft game promotion is an olive branch extended from Ubisoft
to fans, to apologize for those whose enjoyment of the game may have
been dampened by technical issues at the Assassin Creed Unity's launch.
The official list of available games may vary from region to region,
depending on "your country's laws and regulations," but some of the
games shown on Ubisoft's post include Far Cry 4 and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
Eligible gamers have until March 15, 2015 to claim their free game by following the full set of instructions on Ubisoft's webpage.
Unity's Patch 4 was initially scheduled to release on December 15, but
Ubisoft but it on hold, citing the importance of maintaining a rigorous
quality control for game updates.
