Lumia has announced that all Windows Phone 8 devices will be upgraded to Windows 10 when it becomes available.
A tweet by Lumia's official account yesterday revealed the plan to update all Windows Phone 8s:
This comes after past failures by Microsoft to upgrade its Windows Phone
7 when Windows 8 was released, aggravating customers. According to The Verge,
this was partly due to the large differences between the Windows 7 and 8
operating systems, and that the changes from Windows 8 to 10 will not
be as significant.
