Ubisoft Just Soft-launched A New Assassin's Creed Game

Out today in Australia and New Zeland, TouchGameplay reports that Assassin's Creed: Identity is a free downloable game for iOS, due for a full release in 2015. The game itself allows players to pick their own assassin, out of a choice of four, and take to the streets of what appears to be Italy.

Of the four classes, there's the big man, The Berserker, The Shadowblade has the ability to throw knives and drop smoke bombs, The Trickster utilises disguises and confusion, while The Thief can blind and pickpocket.

There's the usual Assassin's Creed parkour elements here, too, all achieved through the touchscreen; tap the screen to start a run, tap on a nearby edge vault upwards, and so on.

According to the video, objectives revolve around chasing down guards, defeating groups of enemies, or backstabbing anything that moves. Complete an objective and the player gets rewarded with points to spend upgrading the assassin's different skills.
