Super Smash Bros. on Wii U Gets Release Date

Plus impressive sales figures for the 3DS version.

Nintendo has announced Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be available in North America on November 21, Europe on December 5 and in Australia on December 6.

The announcement comes alongside news Super Smash Bros. for 3DS has sold over 2.8 million units worldwide following its launch in Europe, the Americas and Australia. The first portable entry in the franchise has passed the landmark following a very successful Japanese launch that saw it shift over 1 million copies in a single weekend.

Additionally, Nintendo has announced the GameCube controller mod previously announced will also support WaveBird controllers. It's set to retail for $19.99 USD.
