Microsoft may be working on a streaming service that allows Xbox One and Xbox 360 games to be played on PC, a report suggests
The games, which would be playable in players' browsers, could possibly be playable at around 60 FPS, a source told Neowin. The same streaming service would run the Xbox 360 dashboard in players' browsers; a downside, however, is that Microsoft may have some obstacles to overcome in the licensing area –– this service could cut into publishers' PC game sales.
Microsoft has been working on a research project called Outatime, which
uses Doom 3 and Fable III for cloud gaming. As Gamesindustry Bix points
out, this could allow Microsoft to compete directly with PlayStation
Now, Sony's streaming service that is still in beta as of now.
Microsoft has yet to confirm whether the streaming project is, indeed, underway
