Inhabitants will have to find a new virtual home by next year.
Sony has announced that it is closing down its virtual world social networking service PlayStation Home.
According to the PlayStation forums, PlayStation Home will cease to publish new content from November 12. Players will not be able to download any more content after December 3.
The full shutdown takes place in March 31, 2015. Until then, players who
stick with the service will receive free content as a token of Sony's
gratitude.
PlayStation Home has been up and running on the PlayStation 3 since 2008 and received various upgrades throughout its run, along with a major redesign in 2011. We asked Consoleinfo.be readers about their use of PlayStation Home, with interesting results.
Are you a regular Home user? Where will you move to next? Let us know in the comments.
