Microsoft is working to get the issues fixed ASAP.
Recent Xbox Live issues preventing Xbox 360 and Xbox One users from signing in have been resolved, according to Microsoft. However, the service is currently experiencing ongoing social and online gaming issues.
The service outage affects the ability for users to "join other Xbox
Live members in online games," Diablo 3 Party Chat issues on both Xbox
One and Xbox 360 platforms, along with server unavailability issues for
Xbox One users. Numerous regions experiencing problems include the U.S., Australia and Europe.
“Hi Xbox members. Are you having trouble connecting to Party Chat on
Diablo 3 on Xbox One and Xbox 360? Additionally, Xbox One users, are you
experiencing server unavailability issues?” Xbox Live's support page
reads. “Us too, but we’re working alongside our partner to get these
issues fixed ASAP! We’ll keep you posted when we have more information
on this issue. In the meantime, thanks for staying patient.”
Xbox Live's core services and purchase and content usage are running
smoothly. We've reached out to Microsoft for more information and we'll
keep you updated on Xbox Live's status
The PlayStation Network also experienced issues over the weekend, with the network rendered available due to a denial-of-service attack. The hackers who claim responsibility for the attacks are taking credit for the Xbox Live outages.
