"This issue should now be resolved," Sony customer support says about error CE-33945-4.
The PlayStation 4 is a big hit with 10 million systems sold in nine months, but like any piece of technology, it's also faced its fair share of technical troubles.
The latest example is error CE-33945-4, a major glitch that recently
kept some PS4 owners from doing anything on their consoles. Sony told Kotaku
earlier today that it was aware of this issue--affecting only a limited
number of users--and has "made progress" toward a solution.
Finding a solution didn't take too long, as just this afternoon, a PlayStation Support team memeber wrote on the PlayStation forums to say the issue has been fixed.
"Hey guys. This issue should now be resolved," the staffer said. "Please
try accessing your games again. If you are still having the issue try
restoring licenses. If even after that you are still having issues,
please let us know. Thanks!"
Sony said this issue only affected a "very small number of users."
Error CE-33945-4 is detailed in forum posts on NeoGAF and PlayStation's own social channels.
According to personal accounts, users who encounter the glitch--and
it's unclear how it's triggered--were blocked from playing games and DLC
or accessing services like Netflix.
