The next-gen port will contain some "brand-new functionality."
Publisher 505 Games has announced that indie favourite Terraria is on its way to next-gen consoles.
According to a post made on the official Terraria forum, all of Terraria's 1.2 content will be present in the next-gen releases, alongside some unspecified "brand new functionality." The PS4 version will also feature cross-play and cross-save to PS Vita.
Both the Xbox One and PS4 versions both have a planned release for "later in 2014."
Additionally, developer Re-Logic will be demoing the PS4 version of
Terraria at E3 next week, though there's no word on whether the Xbox One
version will also be available for preview. As always, we'll let you
know when we find out.
Terraria was originally released for PC in 2011, and since then it has been brought to PS3, Vita, Xbox 360, and mobile devices.
