Alexandre Amancio is back behind the wheel.
Assassin's Creed Unity development is being led by the creative director
on Assassin's Creed: Revelations, according to a new report.
GameInformer reports
that a since-deleted tweet from Ubisoft Toronto's Jade Raymond revealed
that Alexandre Amancio is once again back in the driving seat for the
upcoming next-gen adventure. Sure enough, a cursory glance at his LinkedIn profile reveals that this indeed appears to be the case.
What's interesting is the fact Amancio appears to have departed Ubisoft following the release of Revelations, which received mixed reviews, before returning to the developer some six months later.
Assassin's Creed Unity was leaked last month (along with Assassin's Creed Comet), and Ubisoft confirmed the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One title days later. Assassin's Creed Unity appears to be set in Paris and will reportedly come out later this year, with rumours also surfacing that four-player co-op may be on the cards.
