New firmware brings improvements to friend notifications, GameDVR quality, Kinect and more.
The latest system update for Xbox One has begun rolling out tonight, bringing with it several requested features.
The update packs a host of tweaks and changes, including adjustments to the friend system that will notify you when favourites and friends sign into Xbox Live. This was reportedly one of the most-requested features. In addition, friends who are in multiplayer will be identified in the friends list.
The update also adds a game save progress bar to show you the status of
your saves, and you’ll also now be able to see what games and/or apps
are being updated or have been updated recently.
Improved GameDVR video quality, further tuning to Kinect voice and
motion detection, 50 Hz video output for Blu-ray content recorded at 50
Hz, and controller and headset adaptor firmware updates are among the
other amendments.
