Nintendo has revealed 3DS games sales in America
soared to new heights in 2013, while more than 11.5 million handhelds
have been sold.
Software sales in the US rose 45 percent compared to 2012, while lifetime sales of the 3DS handheld family passed the 11.5 million mark thanks to the launch of the 2DS and continued strong sales of the 3DS XL.
It's not the only good news the handheld's enjoyed of late. It was revealed earlier today that the 3DS was the best-selling game device of 2013 in the UK, managing to beat PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
With a range of great titles slated for release in the first part of 2014, including Yoshi's New Island, which received a release date mere hours ago and Super Smash Bros., which revealed a new fighter this morning, 2014 is already looking like it could be even bigger for Nintendo's handheld.
