Zombies will look extra rotten on Sony's new console.
Techland's upcoming zombie-fest Dying Light will run at a native 1080p on the PlayStation 4, it was confirmed at yesterday's Spike VGX Awards.
During a live gameplay demo, the Dead Island developer highlighted a lot of the things we knew already - parkour, a day/night cycle, and gritty melee combat - but its resolution on Sony's new console is a fresh tidbit of information.
There's been no word yet on whether Dying Light will run at the same resolution on the Xbox One, although the comment made by the Techland rep was throwaway, so silence in this instance certainly doesn't mean denial.
The sand, the sun, the resolution!
Back in May,
we described Dying Light as a "zombie action game through the lens of
DICE’s parkour classic Mirror’s Edge." The game is published by Warner
Bros. Interactive Entertainment and will release in 2014 on current and
next-gen consoles, bar the Wii U. We'll update you with more Dying Light
news as it comes.
