Sony has reset a small number of PSN passwords due to "irregular activity" on the service.
Live in North America and experiencing problems logging into PSN with your password? According to a notice on the official US PlayStation forums it might have been reset due to some "irregular activity" on the service.
"If you are getting an error that your PSN account password is
incorrect, you may need to reset it," the notice reads. "We routinely
monitor for irregular activity, and if such activity is detected, we may
sometimes reset passwords of affected SEN accounts to protect consumers
and their account information."
If you're not sure how, reset instructions can be found here.
This follows a similar reset on the European PSN last week, and is
likely a precautionary measure which will affect only a small number of
users. Still, let us know if you've had any problems with your account
and we'll be sure to report any updates.
