Apple has sent out invitations for this year's iPad event, which will take place on October 22nd in San Francisco. Following the successful launch of the company's new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, Apple is expected to reveal the next generation of its popular iPad and iPad mini tablets.

Rumors suggest that we'll see a few notable changes to Apple's tablets. The new 9.7-inch iPad is expected to sport a new casing that more closely resembles the smaller model with its thinner bezel, and the next generation iPad mini will reportedly be equipped with a high resolution Retina display. It's possible that we'll hear more about OS X Mavericks, updated MacBooks, and the yet-to-be-released Mac Pro as well.
